September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month, and We're Celebrating!

Anyone who signs up for a library card in September will receive a Manatee Library Tote or water bottle, as supplies allow!


Already Have Your Card?  Bring a Buddy!

Current cardholders who bring in a friend or adult family member to get their card receive a limited edition Manatee Library tumbler!  Your "buddy" will receive their free tote bag or water bottle as well!

Introducing Our Newest Library Card, "The Shelves"

In honor of National Library Card Sign-Up Month, we are also launching a new card design!  Introducing "The Shelves," designed by our own Madeleine Wiggins from the Rocky Bluff Branch! 

The new design gives another option to our Classic, Manatee and Scuba Diver cards, all relaunched last month.  All the cards include enhanced features on the back.  If you would like to replace your existing card, talk to our staff at any location.  

 
Remote Printing is Now Available at all Manatee Library Locations!

You can now print your documents from your smartphone and personal computers at the library!

Visit mymanatee.org/remoteprinting
to print from your smart phone or computer.  
Your print job(s) will be available 24 hours at ANY Manatee Library branch during open hours.

Manatee Library Storytimes Have a New Look!

With the Fall season, we are kicking off a new look for our storytimes!  All Manatee Library storytimes will have easy-to-use labels for parents with target ages: baby (0-18 months); toddler (18 months - 3 years); preschool (3+) and family (all ages).  All are still welcome to hoin!

We have also expanded the frequency at some locations, and storytimes will typically start at 10am, for ease of planning.

Brand New Attraction Pass System Launching!

We have a new Attraction Pass system that will make free tickets with your library card easier than ever before!

You will now be able to book Bishop Museum, Big Cat Habitat, and Florida Railroad Museum passes for a specific date and print the passes yourself! No more holds queues. Click on the link below to explore!

Special Events
Kids Mart Applications Open!

The 2023 Kids Mart is coming up on November 4!  All Manatee County children 12 and under may apply starting September 1 to sell their products at the event!

Example products include home made items, plants, crafts, art, jewelry and more (no food or drink, garage sale items or commercial vendors).

Application forms must be turned in at the Braden River Branch by October 20.   For any questions, please contact Miss Chris at 941-727-6079 or chris.culp@mymanatee.org.
